Integrated Medical Marketing & Education on the Internet

"Integrated Medical Marketing and Education on the Internet" is an interactive multimedia presentation for individuals with marketing responsibility for pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or medical services.

The core of the presentation was first delivered at the annual meeting of the Medical Marketing Association in June 1998 in Seattle.

The presentation is divided into three parts:

  • I) Strategic Overview and Internet Marketplace examines strategic approaches for planning, positioning, structuring, developing, and implementing an online medical marketing program as an integral part of an overall integrated marketing program for pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or medical services.   • II) Life Cycle of an Effective Website for Medical Marketing examines major principles in strategic design and effective positioning of Websites for medical marketing and education. It analyzes in detail the multiple stages and services in the life cycle of successful Web sites, using multiple current examples on the WWW. These stages/services include educational and promotional content, customer dialogue, branding, interactive services and multimedia elements, real time events and educational programs, database connectivity, and alliances or partnerships. Length: 55 minutes, 100 slides.
  • III) Banner Advertising and E-mail, the third section of the presentation, will be posted here shortly. It examines the effective use of "opt-in" e-mail as a promotional and educational tool and the use of banner advertising to build Web site traffic.ional and promotional content, customer dialogue, branding, interactive services and multimedia elements, real time events and educational programs, database connectivity, and alliances or partnerships. Length: 55 minutes, 100 slides.

The speaker is William J. Comcowich, President and Creative Director of UltiTech, Inc. in Stratford, CT. Mr. Comcowich has over 20 years of experience in medical marketing and 15 years in developing interactive multimedia and online programs. He is former chairman of the Interactive Multimedia Association. In 1997, he was selected as one of the country's Top 100 Producers by A/V Video and Multimedia Producer magazine.
