Both granulocytic and monocytic differentiation are evident. The granulocytic and monocytic components must
each be > 20% of the nonerythroid elements in the bone marrow.[1]
The leukemic cells of monocytic lineage in M4 strongly express CD14 while the expression of CD4 can be variable.[1]
