I am currently recovering from surgery to remove my
left upper lung lobe, and enlarged lymph nodes. I went into the surgery with a
diagnosis of stage I Adenocarcinoma, with a 70-75% cure rate after
surgery. After the pathology report this was changed to stage IIIA
Adenocarcinoma with a 20-25% cure rate after surgery. My oncology surgeon
does not recommend chemo or radiation after the surgery. He states that
this could make the cancer worse. Does anyone have any information on
this? The sites I have checked on the internet do list both chemo and
radiation as viable options after surgery. I do not smoke, nor live with a
smoker, nor work with asbestos. We have tested and found we do have a
radon level in our home of 11, which will be permanently vented to the outside
next week. We are currently checking the rest of the family. Thank
you for your attention, and any info you might be able to share. "M" at hzp_electronics@juno.com
