The following is basic information on Methatraxate. Hope it benefits. Also you may wish to ask your doctor about Celebrex, the less toxic and very successful drug for most all arthritis including anykylosing spondylitis and rheumatoid.
God Bless You,

Methatrexate is a cancer drug that doesn't have a particularly good track record relative to RRP. That is why it is not listed on the website. I'm not sure what your physician was thinking when he prescribed it for Kelsey.
Your physician may be a highly skilled surgeon, but it is also possible that he's in over his head and that his surgical technique is partly responsible for Kelsey's post surgical swelling. Swelling like that is very unusual in patients of any age.
Your physician should have apprised you of the potential dangers of a trach (believe me, the dangers are quite real). Of course, it is entirely possible that your doctor may not have known about these dangers himself. If he didn't, however, it could be said that he is fairly clueless in matters relating to RRP.
The Univ. of Alabama has one of the world's finest RRP researchers (Tom Broker). My suggestion is to follow Kim's advice and make an appointment with the physician she has recommended. I advise you to do this ASAP. The worst that can happen is that you get a second opinion from an expert in the field.
Best regards,
Michael
