[MOL] Polyp analysis by light

Good Day My Friends,

Am hoping this new therapy is not as painful as a sigmoidoscopy and is
more accurate than a sigmoidoscopy.

Polyp analysis by light
SpectraScience of Minneapolis has received FDA approval of its
Optical Biopsy system, an adjunct to colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopy.
The system helps physicians identify precancerous polyps by shining
a laser into polyps during a procedure and measuring the light energy
they emit. The company tested the device in 101 patients and found
that it increased physicians’ accuracy from 82% to 96% in correctly
identifying precancerous polyps. Accuracy in identifying non-cancerous
polyps decreased from 50% to 33%.

God Bless You All,
