Just a thought, they used to use the birds in mines to tell if the air was 
bad.  The birds fell out before the humans.  I don't know where you live but 
you may want to have your water tested and then test for any intrusion in 
your basement if your have one.  I think the chemical that comes from the 
ground is raidon(spelling).
It may be a run of bad luck but why not check.
