Re: [MOL] Pain medication

My experience with pain and narcotics is when you are in a great deal of pain you
need the narcotics it takes to stop the pain. Is your dr. the onocologist or the
primary care? Onocologists are much more experienced with prescribing pain drugs.
As far as I have been told, when the pain ceases you can quit the narcotic and it
won't be tramatic because your body knows it was for pain and readjusts. I would
definately get on the phone and find a dr. that will help you. That is
cruel.......Also one has to take laxatives with pain meds because they cause
constipation in most people.......Good luck to you......Your friend...Beav
