thank you for your message. It turns ou that he may not have
the radiation because they think there was a typo mistake for the resection
of healthy tissueaccording to the radiologist who spoke to the surgeon.
They think 7 CM instead of .7CM. Of course, my dad is breathing a
sigh of relief but we're waiting to hear from the readiologist again.
Judith - did you hear about this CPT-11?

I too was on the 5FU and Leukovorin treatment plan when I was first diagnosed
and after I had the surgery. The radiation is very interesting
to me as they did not do it and I had a recurrence this past February.
I think the radiation makes a lot of sense to me and I have a strong feeling
it is going to make a big difference in your Dad's case.Keep
me posted on his progress and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
Incidently, I don't think I could have kept so encouraged if not for MY

i understand is the typical treatment. he just started and he is
on the Mayo cyle - one week on and 3 weeks off for 6 months. He started
this week. When we went to UCLA for a second oppinion, they reccomended
also radiation at the resection place. We were also told abou the
CPT 11 which is an experimental drug. My dad's doctor thought that
this was still experimental and not good to use. the UCLA doctor
siad they would use it. So check it out.
