Dear Miss Rania,
I can imagine your mom is driven up a wall by the sound(s) in her head.
As a Meniere's patient, I can appreciate all the crazy sounds inside your
head. Your doctor is probably right in that they understand little about
what is wrong. The inner ear is a complex mystery to the medical
profession and while they try hard, most of their successes are
unexplained. If I were you, I'd try a specialist in the field of eye,
ears, nose and throat. There might be a benign treatment that could
help. Perhaps flushing out the inner ear with saline solution might
help. I'm certainly no medical professional, just a patient, but I know
that's one of the treatments they try for Meniere's.
I wish you the best.
