Enver,
I don't know for sure but I have a feeling that chemo somehow diminishes muscle control. My Mother, after she had been on chemo for a while would hiccup forever. Babies do this too so it makes me think that it has to do with a muscle reflex that perhaps is weakened. I definitely don't know for sure but that's my theory.

Subject: [MOL] hiccups
My father has developed a bad case of hiccups since his SCLC diagnosis
and chemotherapy. The hiccups are pretty bad, at times it disturbs his
breathing. The only thing the oncologist did was give him a
prescription drug which does not work that well. Has anyone else
experienced a bad case of hiccups?
Thank you,
Enver
