Hello, Sal. I've not been with this group too long, but they have been
really great about sending information and research to me. There is so much
to learn if you are new to this, as I am. I'm not familiar with the
cancer your mom has, my dad was just diagnosed with stage 3 nasopharyngeal
carcinoma. He is in week four of chemo + radiation. Three more weeks to go
of that, then chemo alone for 3 more months. Why did the docs opt against
radiation? Learn all you can about the cancer, the drugs and the
treatments. Stay involved in every aspect. It's important for her care but
it also helps you as a caregiver. Sometimes the hardest part is a feeling a
helplessness when things are bad and there is nothing you can do.
