Hi Brenda.
Just a quick note this time (I promise).
I had my operation in Aug. '98, chemo and rad txs from Oct'98 - Jan'99.
Chronic pain ever since.
I have no children of my own (other than Sox, that is) but lay claim to the
kids of several of my friends. I've had a couple of them come to visit me
for a couple of days since I moved home. They live about 5 hrs away so it
was a real treat. I correspond with them regularly though, either thru
e-mail or snail mail.
Here at home, I have a 5yr old niece and a 2yr old nephew who are so cute
it's criminal. And my 22 yr old nephew has taken to dropping in on me after
school/work a couple of times a week. We're really close which pleases my
sister to no end as he's something of a loner.
I would have liked children of my own however it appears to be one of those
things that wasn't meant to be. I got to play step-mother once and I just
loved it. But even though their father and I are no longer together (still
friends though) my relationship with his kids is still strong. Both he and
the children's mother support this which makes it much easier.
By the way, for me this IS a short note. LOL
Your friend,
Bridget
