Re: [MOL] non small cell lung cancer stage 4

Wow, if that isn't a blowout to here that kind of news. This is a wonderful
forum and it's quite possible that you might meet someone here that has had that
type of cancer. My husband was given 2 mos. to live in Sept. of '97 and he is
still alive. His quality of life has gradually gone down hill but he still
chooses to live rather then give up. The Drs. certainly aren't giving you much
hope of living even for a yr. He was given a choice between a very aggressive
chemo or dieing. We ended up going to Mexico and that really made the Drs. mad.
They offered us no hope or I guess it was 20% chance of survival with the chemo
if he survived the chemo. He would have to be hositalized for the chemo was so
aggesive it could cause renal failure or cardiac arrest so we decided to go to
Mexico which was advised to us from a infusion nurse. Was it the trtmt. in
Mexico that extended his life or I know thousands of prayers were going out for
him but whatever my husband went by his feelings of what he should do and
suffering from a chemo like that one didn't feel like the right way to go. It is
a tough decision you have to make friend, but whatever you decide if it comes
from your heart then you know you have made the right decision.
I know your life took a flip flop when you were told this so I hope somehow that
peace may enter your life and that you are at peace with whatever decision you
make.
