I can well understand with all the breast cancer history in your family that
you would have every right to be alarmed and concerned. I am a breast
cancer survivor and I feel that you should not be discharging any type fluid
much less blood one month after surgery. Were it me, I also would be
questioning why the lymph nodes are not going to be check at the time of the
mastectomy. They have a new method of checking the lymph nodes, the name of
the procedure eludes me. Are you going to a cancer facility/ It is
important to go to the finest cancer facility, they have all the means
available for all treatments to include trials. Were I in your shoes, I
would certainly go for a second opinion at a cancer center. I did not do
this and five year's later I still pay the price of a botch up job. I am
sending you some sights to explore and gather as much information you can.
