I know what you mean about the invisible
veil. I can see it with my husband, he has been very quiet; but let his
oldest son stop in and the two of them just talk a mile a minute. For me
this is good; as they are bonding and it was needed. I think the
cheerleading position goes something like this:
ILL FATHER-IN-LAW
CHEERLEADERS
wife/parents
children
children's spouses and
families
and someplace are close friends!
It takes everyone to play an intricate roll in the
the adjustment to cancer, in the keeping each others spirits boosted (so
they can do the same for the next level and so forth. You have a hard
roll, an important roll. It is you who ultimately is the cheerleader with
the most on her shoulders. And when everything falls apart, it is you they
will be depending on.
It is smoothing to the ears to hear your love for
your in-laws, that is wonderful Lynn. I must deduct that you are really a
neat person to have all the in-laws like you so much. Hope your day goes
