Hi Tonia,
 I don't know if this is common, but it sure stinks! How can they not have a bed
for a patient to perform a life-saving procedure? I know from experience that
there is red tape everywhere in the hospital when you can least tolerate it, but
that is by far the lamest thing I have heard yet. I would suggest continuing to
look around for someone who is able to accommodate him. Time is of the essence
with cancer. The earlier the better. And chemo can really take it's toll on the
body. If I were you I would keep pestering the people at your hospital. I am so
sorry you are having to go through this. It seems so unfair to have one roadblock
after another when you are also dealing with your dad's illness. Keep your chin
up, and take a stand whenever you can. Good Luck,   Lisa
