Re: [MOL] AML/REPLY/NEW MEMBER/WELCOME!

Hi Mindy!  Welcome to our forum, you will be most happy to be with such a wonderful caring group.  I was thrilled to hear that your husband is in remission. Please know we are not in the medical profession and our opinions are just that "our opinions"  I have read that some chemo's cause neuropathy problems; which may or may not go away.but I have not heard of the labored breathing.   In any event you need to get to the bottom of this and ask the doctor and tell him you want an answer to these problems.  Warmly, your friend, lillian

Subject: [MOL] AML

My husband was diagnosed with AML subtype 2 in Jan 1998.  After three separate 30 plus days in the hospital, he has been in remission since August 1998  (Praise God!)  He has alot of problems with dizziness and shortness of breath.  Is this a long lasting side effect from all the chemo?  Or has the chemo affected his equilibrium. We have brought this to his Dr's attention, but he seems to have no direct answer.  Please help.
