Re: [MOL] Re: Angiosarcoma

Hi Kathy Q;
     My husband has angiosarcoma as well. Actually it is called
hemangioendothelioma. It is also very rare and only treatable with radiation,
which was not successful. We went to clinical trials with endostatin which
stablized the cancer but my husband has ongoing heart problems and had to go off
the study. He is currently on thalidomide. It is to early to tell if there is a
response to this therapy. They started him at 50mg and will increase every 2wks..
He is now at 200mg. It takes approx. 3 mos. for drug to work. We are at 6 wks. It
is supposed to be very simiular to endostatin but not the same side effects.
Thalidomide mostly makes him sleepy so far. Good luck, it is very difficult
trying to find info. on a rare cancer. We share your anxiety and depression. My
husband is also a fighter and really wants to survive this. If any one has more
info. on angiosarcoma please help. We do not like to leave one stone unturned.

Take care,  Beav
 P.S. Shouldn't there be an awareness day on earth in prayer for a cure for
cancer? Where all residents of earth could pray for a cure.........
