Not really. Mexico being so close, we all know how to speak at least a little
spanish around here (especially if you work in restaurants like I do), but our
lingo is basiclally just lazy talk. Instead of saying what's up, we just nod and
say "sup". Instead of asking my hunny if he has had lunch I just say, "Jeet?".
Goodbye has been said many ways but it was too much work so now we just say
"Later's". The cutest new words we use down here are dank, meaning really good,
shwag, meaning a real bummer, and hottie, meaning a really cute guy or girl (or
as Lillian says, David is a hottie). My little brother who is 25 has been known
to say things that no one can interperet but his closest friends-he was like,
"hey, man, you just busted my gig all up- that's so kipnine, bro, what's your
dig?" and the room goes silent. Then someone figures out he was trying to
impress a lady and someone made him look less than cool. And we all go, "Oh!".
It works best to just talk, ya know? but my brother is so funny that way. Well,
