As for your mother, honey let her decide. She'll know if she can handle
it, and just be careful as to what paint you use. The excitement will do her
good.
Be careful, though. I'm no doctor and know nothing of her situation. I
have some lung problems (extemely minor but acting up right now) and as long
as I have a painter's mask on I do pretty good.
