Hi all,
Just got back from the doctor's with Larry. They gave us really good
news. They got all of the melanoma, but still need to take out more for the
extra margin of error. They didn't do that today as it will be a much wider
area and they want the plastic surgeon to do that so they can protect the eye
area from being pulled too much and minimize scarring on the facial area. He
is set for that surgery on July 26th. They wanted to do it the day before we
left for California, but decided that would not be a good idea to show up
looking like he had just been beaten up. The 26th was the next closest date
they could get him in. Praise God it was not any worse. They said it was
borderline, but believe they got it all.
After this, he will have to go in every three months a couple times and
then every 6 months to have his body checked for any more melanomas. We are
both very relieved. No chemo or radiation involved with this one. Praise
God.
