I agree w/ your assessment David. It is obvious that this is a long term love match and the children get along w/ her. To us Americans though, she will never replace Lady Di. She captured the imagination of our nation and wrongly or not, it is her who had the sympathies of our people. I remember exactly what I was doing when I heard the first report of the accident. I know that sounds odd but her spirit and vulnerability appealed to me. She seemed to have faced alot of adversity but stayed strong and was a good Mother. I respected and felt sorry for her. Of course there are two sides to a story.
Have you had enough emails from RUTH BASS? Yikes!
Dusti

Dusti,
I'm please to hear about your mom(see I can spell it American style!!)
Prince Charles mistress, its really strange. During the time Diana was
alive, the mass media was really at her throat all the time, and she was
getting quite a lot of stick. I think though, and this is my personal view,
although what they got up to was wrong (If the stories you read in the press
are correct about them sleeping together the day before his wedding) the way
she has conducted herself during the whole affair, and since Diana's death
has given her a lot more credit. I don't think, I have ever heard her speak
in an interview, and she has hardly ever given any direct quotes to the
press.
In time, now that the queen has officially met her at a function, she will
probably be accepted as his new wife (should they ever decide to get
married). I also feel, that if they were able to show their love right from
the beginning, and he was able to marry her, the Royal family would not have
been dragged through the mud over the past few years. I have nothing
against Diana, and have always felt deeply sorry for her, but she fell in
love with the wrong person at the wrong time.

Great David, hopefully we will get all these emails to stop!!! Luckily I
have figured out how to mass delete. I use to do it one by one and it took
forever. I'm doing pretty good today. Mom is hanging in here and we are
enjoying our time together. Ok, I just thought of a good, dumb American
question: What do the people of the UK really think of Prince Charles's
mistress? I know, it is a salacious question about nothing but I'm curious
from your perspective. Write back if you have a chance.
Regards,
Dusti

Hi, I hope you might be able to assist me. Ruth belongs to a cancer
forum
on line and now everytime someone posts, we are getting over 1000 'out of
office reply' to the list from her. Is there any way your network
administrator can access her computer and have her temporarily removed from
this list? I will put the instructions below and if you are able, please
let me know if you were able to do this. Thank you for your assistance.
Dusti Barham
Please be advised that Ruth Bass will be out of the office until Monday,
July 3, 2000. If you need assistance, please contact Maritza Morales.
