RE: [MOL] Dear Friends!

I have spent this past weekend in thought about how to express my feelings about the loss of my dear friend Barbara.  It has been very difficult for me to accept her passing.  I wish to honor her by way of describing my family's introduction to her.  Since Barbara lived about 40 miles from me, we decided to get together one weekend and she invited my family to her home by a beautiful lake.  When we arrived, my twins, Danielle and Marissa did not want to go into her house because they were afraid of the rooster who resided on her porch and the cat that lived within.  Needless to say, my two gifts are somewhat terrified of animals.  We drove to a nearby ranch where Barbara kept her horse and before the day had ended, all three girls had gone for a ride on her horse, and my 10 year old Christine had groomed her.  It was Barbara's loving, gentle manner that enabled them to put aside their fear and approach a very large animal with love and caring.  This was Barbara Silverman...loving, gentle, caring.  In her battle with cancer, she was determined and courageous beyond any one that I have ever known.

Her passing has taken a piece of my heart.  In its place is the memory of a very special woman who loved life, lived life, and gave life to everyone she touched.  I will miss her yet she will always be with me.  May our Lord God hold her in His bosom and grant her His peace and joy that she so richly disserves.  We have another dove flying over us.  God Bless.

Subject: [MOL] Dear Friends!
Importance: High

Many of you may not remember Barb Silvermen, some will; so I write this to all those that knew our dear friend Barb.

Barb has joined the mighty cancer warriors this morning.  She went to meet her maker in great peace having duly prepared herself and yet still fought very hard.  She won many cancer battles these pass couple of year's; but simply did not win the war.

I had the great honors of meeting Barb over two year's ago as we vacationed at our condo just outside of Savannah, Ga.  Instantly friends, instantly understanding the full meaning of cancer and placing no tomorrow's; but enjoying the today's.  We met several times after the first meeting.  Barb had not been well the past few months and I was just working on a way to go North in the near future and visit with her, to help her out as she lived alone.  Our John visited with Barb just two weeks ago, how wonderful he made it.

As we take a moment of silence to reflect on the beauty of this woman, on her courage, her strength and love that she generously shared with all who came upon the journey.  As we raise her up and thank our Maker for taking her peacefully into His tender bosom.  Let us ask Barb to intercede for all who travel our journey to keep us safe and our love one's.

Lovingly, your friend, lillian
