Peggy!
Are you going to a clinical trial or are you going to Staten Island Univ.
Hos. Radiosurgery? I hope I am right; but I have not seen anyone who was
disqualified. In fact, I just had dinner tonight with a man from Florida
with very advanced lung cancer that has been accepted and he has had his
lung cancer for some time. He also has several heart disorders. This
treatment is also used for palative care for bone. So you hang in and hang
tough! Besides if they turn you away, just tell them Aunti Lil will be up
to beat them up!!! Giving myself away that I once was a city slicker!
Keep that ray of hope and turn it into a big shinning sun, that is what we
want to hear when you get back. Do you know how long you will be there?
How many treatments? Do you know where you will be staying?
You sound most nervous and no wonder. Girlfriend, I am storming heaven for
you both.
Just think when you get back you can check the archives and see if we talked
about you? LOL! But ofcourse we would only say good things, is there any
other?
I had written in a second paragraph about my husband. I think many missed
it and then with our Andy; etc. it is hard to gloat. His is prostate cancer
with mets to the bone. When he got there they did a CT scan, which did not
show anything; however the MRI did. Since the bone is in very good
condition they did not want to drill into it and descided to play lets wait
and see. So every three months he goes for a MRI here and we will just pray
that what ever this is it will behave. So Chuck is by my side here.
Now you know John and June are in the general area, so if you have some
loose time you just may want to meet these two great people. Bess is in the
area; but her husband is in the hospital.
My prayers and my very best wishes to you both. Will be worried and looking
forward to hearing how it all went and the good new's. Your friend, lillian
