Sandi,
Welcome to our forum. I do not have aml and am only a caregiver to my Mother who has cancer but I do believe there a couple of people on our forum w/ aml experience. Give them some time to respond and I'm sure they'll come through with their experience.
Friends,
Dusti

I am a 51 y.o. female who was diagnosed with Acute Mylogenous Leukemia on Aug 16, 1997. I went thru the usual chemo treatment and bone marrow biopsys and was found to be in remission. As of March 20, 2000 after several blood tests it was found my blood platelet counts were dropping. I just had another bone marrow biopsy to see if I relapsed. I understand if I have relapsed I will have to go thru chemo and then a bone marrow transplant. I would like to know if anyone out there has been thru the same thing.
Thanks, Sandi
