Viadur Approved for Treatment of Advanced Prostate Cancer
    Testosterone suppression or hormonal therapy is commonly used for the
palliative treatment of patients with advanced prostate cancer. Viadur
(leuprolide acetate), approved by the FDA in March, is an implant that
suppresses testosterone production by delivering leuprolide for up to one
year.
