RE: [MOL] Moderately Differentiated Adeno Carcinoma

Dear Susan,

I know that right now it probably seems that your world has been turned
upside down. Let me assure you that cancer is beatable and, as you will
learn, there are many here on this site that are survivors and care givers
of survivors who will extend a loving hand to help and guide you on your
journey. Lillian is one such individual who will, I am sure, provide
several web sites for you to get information on Adeno Carcinoma. As to
Differentiated, it refers to how well defined an area the cancer is confined
to. It is categorized as well, moderately, and poorly and are terms that
only guide the medical profession in determining the best method to select
in treating the cancer. In the meantime, please contact the National Cancer
Institute at 1-800-4CANCER. They will answer all your questions and advise
on the latest treatments and clinical trials available. Please stay here
with us for support and help and let us know how you and your Dad are doing.
You will be in my prayers. God Bless.

John
3 year cancer survivor

After a liver biopsy, my dad's (75 yrs. old), results came back as
Moduately Differentiated Adeno Carcinoma. What does "moduately" mean?
Since biopsies were taken from the liver, does this mean that it is the
primary source? What could be the symptons indicating this condition?
He has back pain as well, is this typically associated? Could there be
an association with the kidyney as well? He will be visiting his doctor
in a week but information from you would help us understand, thank you.

Regards, Susan MacKenzie
