True - until you post it to a public forum. Scotty, if you can't find support
here you won't find it anywhere. MOL is the best group of people in the world
and they welcomed me with open arms as a member of the family.
Maybe we just need a fresh start here:
Hi Scotty. My name is Chris. I am a caregiver to a parent (father) with lung
cancer. He was dx at age 75 and underwent surgery, chemo, radiation, and now
thalidomide. He has a strong fighting spirit and he surely has needed it
because his treatment would have been brutal to a much younger man. Yet he
stuck it out, he looked the cancer in the face, and spit back at it. He
endured all the nausea, pain, heartbreak, and all the rest, but at least for
now, he is cancer-free!!! He is a veteran of Normandy so I think in the back
of his mind he feels that if he survived THAT, he can beat this, or at least
live whatever life is left in the best manner possible. He is the bravest,
toughest man I've ever met; he's MY hero. -chris
