Dear Nanc, Mom,
Hope all went well with your knee surgery. Sorry that I didn't get to
you before you went in. I got some awful news yesterday about a cousin
of mines wife. She, Nancy, has cancer. About 17 years ago she had a skin
cancer and now she has mets to her stomach, kidney, nodes, everywhere
except for her brain. Needless to say I am in shock. She is 43, two
years older than me and has a little girl who is 12. Her Bat Mitzvah is
in November and they don't expect Nancy to ...... This really sucks. I
hate that word but it seems so fitting right now. She just finished her
three days of chemo, not sure what she had, and in three weeks they will
do a cat scan to see if there is any more that they can do. Why her,
why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why did I get "off" so easy, no chemo, and she is
going through all this. It is so unfair.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
