Hey, Andy, now it's my turn to"butt in" -- we all do it, LOL! No real
rules or protocol here; it's just a safe place for all of us on the
cancering journey to share our joys, fears, information, jokes -- you
name it. We're family that just haven't met yet, if you know what I
mean, and you're one of us now.
As for that wallowing and self-pity stuff, it hits most of us at one
time or another. We'll just pass you John's "pity-pot!" Keep it as long
as you need it, but if you sit on it too long, someone here is likely to
"bump" you off it, so don't get too comfortable!
I am a 5-year breast cancer survivor as of this month, but we all take
it a day at a time, and many of us have discovered some surprising gifts
in this awful disease...like a new appreciation for life, and a fresh
perspective on what's really important. Cancer has a way of cutting
through the b.s., if you'll excuse the expression!
So, know that you are not on this journey alone, friend. The good Lord
doesn't take any of us before our time, and he's the only one who knows
