has been shown to induce a new type of cell death in human
prostatic adenocarcinoma implanted in mice, according to a team
of researchers in Pennsylvania. Dr. Jacques Gilloteaux from
Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania,
and colleagues administered single doses of a vitamin C-vitamin
K3 combination orally, intraperitoneally, or both into nude mice
in which solid tumors had formed after subcutaneous implantation
of DU145, a human prostatic adenocarcinoma cell line.
