WESTPORT, Dec 30 (Reuters Health) - A combination of hepatic
arterial infusion of floxuridine and intravenous fluorouracil
improves 2 year outcome in patients who undergo resection of
hepatic metastases from colorectal cancer, scientists from the
Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York report. Dr.
Nancy Kemeny and colleagues describe their study in the December
30th issue of The New England Journal of Medicine. The
researchers administered six cycles of hepatic arterial infusion

with or without leucovorin, to 74 patients beginning 4 weeks
