Dear Friends;
I don't know if anyone remembers me, but I was signed on to MOL back in
June or July of last year.
My condition was Inflammatory Breast Cancer, and I was telling some of you
that I was not willing to consider surgery and/or chemotherapy as a
treatment. I wanted to know if anyone knew of any alternative treatments. I
then found one, called hyperthermia; and between that and God, my cancer is
now gone.
I'd like to tell you all my story, what's happened in the last 6 months;
and you can evaluate it, think about it or not, and go from there. I just
feel that if anyone reading this has breast cancer, then it's kind of
important.
I know that most of you believe in God. I do. For those of you who don't,
please let me just say this, before I talk about the treatment: Hyperthermia
treatment works, but I'm not sure if it works without God's help. If you
have cancer, then you need to have faith in The Great Physician. He CREATED
us and He knows best how to heal us. "And God created man of the dust of the
ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a
living soul." We ARE living souls...just think about the YOU inside of that
body. We are (our souls) meant to live forever; but God has given us a free
will, so that we can either live forever with Him when we die AND enjoy all
the benefits of knowing Him in THIS life; or we can chose to be our own God,
to be in charge of our own lives, to never know Him, and so to die in our
sins. God is absolutely Holy and we're sinful, no matter how GOOD we try to
be. "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." So, God sent
His son, Jesus, to die for our sins, in order to bridge the gap that exists
between us. "For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish, but have everlasting
life." If we ask Him, He will forgive our sins and live within our hearts.
He wants to be Lord of your life, if you'll let Him. Jesus says, "Behold, I
stand at the door and knock. If any man hear my voice, I will come in to him
and sup with him." PLEASE, if you've never asked Jesus into your heart, do
it NOW, don't wait. He will help you in THIS life, and give you eternal life
with God in the next one.
So, now, my story: As I said, I had refused to consider any conventional
treatments for my cancer. It just didn't make sense to me, to have such
devastating treatment and still not know whether I was going to live or die.
Inflammatory breast cancer is one of the most aggressive cancers, and my
oncologist had told me that the odds weren't that great for me (I had also
waited too long before I even went to see the doctor...about 6 months). If I
would have the invasive surgery and devestating chemo, then, at best, I would
be prolonging my life some. I thought, "What's better: quality of life or
quantity?" No one WANTS to die, but because of that, I had sort of resigned
myself to the fact that, without treatment, I was going to. I was sort of
OK with it, too, because I knew where I was going and the Bible says it's a
place where there are no more pain or tears.
Well, one night, my 20-yr-old daughter, Jessica, came into my room. We
talked and talked, and cried and cried together. When she left, I lay on the
floor and cried to the Lord. I asked Him if maybe there was another way; I
asked Him to please heal me for my daughter and for my husband's sake. I
decided I really wanted and needed to live. I got off the floor with a
wonderful calm. I knew that God had heard me and trusted Him to find a way.
The next day, a packet of information (I had emailed several internet
sites, which offered alternative treatments) came in the mail from Valley
Cancer Institute in California. It explained all about hyperthermia (in
conjunction with radiation), and showed the statistics of various cancer
cures by this method. The best results were with breast and, I believe,
prostate and neck cancers. (There are, however, many hyperthermia clinics
that treat other cancers more successfully with whole body or interstitial
hyperthermia.)
What I'm trying to say here is that my God answered my prayer. I knew,
immediately, that He wanted me to go there. I didn't have a clue how I was
going to pay for the trip to California (I live in NC, with a very limited
income), how I was going to STAY in CA, or how I would pay for the treatment,
but I knew that, if God wanted me to go there, then I'd find a way.
Sure enough, the money came in for me to go. Then, I found out that this
treatment was covered by my insurance. Then, God provided so wonderfully for
me to be able to stay, and eat well, and get home again.
I received treatment there for 5 long months, but it was worth every
agonizing day away from my family, because now, at least for today, I'm alive
and feeling great. The treatment was painless and free of any side effects,
except for a little sunburn. :)
For those of you who have read down this far, I wish you much success with
your cancer. I know the anguish that cancer causes, and how very alone it
makes you feel. I don't say that hyperthermia is for everyone, but I do say
that it worked in my case. If anyone would like further information, please
feel free to email me at the address below (I've only signed back on to MOL
for one day, in order to write this.).
There are treatment centers in many states (I found out, too late, that
there was one in my own state!). It's not always advertised, especially by
hospitals, who would prefer that people use the conventional route. My mom,
who is 74, also has breast cancer, and it took me 4 days to be able to find
it in Mass., but it was there (Dana Farber Cancer Institute).
May God be with each one of you and heal you.
