I am home again and I had a good trip. It was
great to meet Kathy and I enjoyed our visit. It's funny, she doesn't
look at all like I expected her to look. She is very slim and has
dark hair. I don't know what I expected, but I was surprised. We went
out to dinner and then to her home where we visited for a couple of
hours. I was very glad to meet her.
I know you are right about the survival story.
The most important message to get out is the importance of regular
checkups and early intervention. The fact that I have done that is
what made my cancer so much less life threatening, and the treatment
so much easier to deal with. I'll see what I can do.
I had a nice little camera that took excellent
pictures, but for some reason it is not working and I didn't have
time to get another one before I left for Boise. You are right
though. Kathy does very nice art work. She had beautiful work all
over her house.
It was nice to see my sister, but I am really
glad to be back home. I don't think I am much of a
traveler.
Take care,
Love
Liz
Isn't a plea to get a
mammogram a good wake up call? You could influence someone else
with how fortunate you are to have caught it in time. I think
that is really important in itself Liz. I am sure others will
pick up some slack, Deb has sent some really good one's on Breast
Cancer along with Joicy; etc. Every little bit helps and I feel
very confident that Marty's problems are starting to abate and look
forward to his return. This forum is not about me, it's about
getting the knowledge out, giving a lending hand; etc. etc. I
am not the forum, never felt I was, I do what I can do and it takes
everyone to do what they can do. Enjoy that trip, could you get
a couple of pictures of Katy's art work, I can cut and paste; so they
can be close to each other.....Please, she does really good work, oh
that's right you meeting for dinner. Shucks! love you,
lillian
