Re: [MOL] alternative medicine

Hi, Lynn, many of us believe in the benefits of so-called alternative
medicine as complimentary to our treatment. I had some very bad
reactions to the chemo I was on, which was not helped by the meds
perscribed, so I went to an acupuncturist really in desperation! But
wow, what a difference!! He perscribed herbs as well. My only regret was
that i waited so long. It was the only thing that helped my illness from
the chemo, PLUS it did a lot to help restore my energy and rebuild my
immune system. The key is to find someone who is really good (check
around and see who folks recommend), but also someone who sees there
work as complimentary to your other treatments, not in opposition. My
acupuncturist is great that way, and my onc now even recommends him to
some of his other patients. I would also try to find a nutritionist, and
there are other complimentary practices you might find helpful. All the
best to you, and please stay in touch! Blessings, Joicy
