Kathy,
My wife had up to date 20 hits of radiation (10 on her lower spine and pelvic bone, and 10 on her upper spine). Is there maximum number of radiation a person can receive??? Currently, my wife cancer cell on her upper spine is causing pressure to her nerve resulting in losing her muscle movement on her both legs. Tomarrow will be her 10th hit and was wondering if she will ever be able to move her legs???

Dear Margo: I had 33 hits of radiation over a year ago. It wasn't
pleasant, but I wasn't on any kind of special diet. I just ate whatever I
could, and that wasn't much!!! Ensure three times a day kept me from losing
too much weight, but I could hardly gag it down. Cream soups were fairly
easy to eat, but most food tasted horrible to me. I don't know if that was
the radiation or the chemo, but eventually, this problem went away. Do you
have any specific questions? I'll help if I can. Your friend, Kathy in
Boise
