Good Morning My Friends,
Yesterday we celebrated a very profound anniversary. 5 years ago to the
day my Barbara was diagnosed with a very rare, stage IV malignancy. At
that time, we knew little to none about malignancies and wellness and
hope and the journeys that needed to be sought to being a survivor. In
fact, very little time was advised, by then attending doctors. She spent
her first days in an emergency room and subsequent three weeks in a
hospital where she had great care, but the expressions on doctors faces
were very sadly noticeable. Well, we proved them wrong.
Again, as a result of complications of side effects and secondary
conditions, Barbara was again rushed to the emergency room yesterday,
where ironically she was attended by the same Doctor who had attended to
her 5 years ago. But, this time while he was administering his
professionally views, he remembered this great survivor and delivered a
new message to her and that was one of hope. Barbaras history is very
complicated and complex. She has survived many moments and times of
complications during this journey in five years and once again she
survived this time of trepidation and scare, but to come home to her
visiting relatives and toast to another 5 years. WE spent the whole day
in the emergency room, but while we have many health issues to face it
is with great satisfaction to know that we have the knowledge and the
resolve and determination to look forward to 5 more years in a better
emotionally, spiritual, mental and physical place than where we were 5
years ago. So, with that we lift our glass to celebration of these 5
years to a great survivor and woman and wife, and say, thank you God.

to life and to my wife.
