[MOL] Re: Shawn !

Shawn, in my opinion I would not be worried as yet, this is a pretty standard proceedure with little risks.  There is any number of things that could be going on that are not cancer related; so stay calm.  Now in the event that it is cancer you know we are always here for you.  Your friend, lillian

Hello,

My father is in relatively good shape, he is 69 years old, has high blood pressure
and is overweight, but has enjoyed good health thus far. He has had blood drawn
for his usual checkups and was told he was anemic (sp?). He then was sent to a specialist
who will be performing a colonospy (sp?) where they knock you out and put a laser thing
up your bottom to see if they see anything.

My question is this:  Should I be concerned about this? What other signs of colon cancer
are there besides anemia? Is the procedure itself risky?

Thanks,
Shawn
