Chicago, Jun 24 (Reuters Health) - The American Medical
Association says that the practice of procedure-specific informed
consent unfairly targets women and thus should be eliminated.
The AMA House of Delegates voted Tuesday at its annual meeting to
oppose any legislation that imposes procedure-specific
requirements for informed consent or a waiting period for any
legal medical procedure.
