I am working with a company that has rights to a
drug - already approved by the medical regulatory agency for sale in a foreign
country - that shows a significant increase in survivability for small cell and
non-small cell lung cancer within one year.
Now the US company needs to raise capital to conduct FDA
clinical trials. Given the climate for investing in medical companies
(everyone has shifted to investing in internet companies), we are having a hard
time getting the money together.
Does anyone have suggestions on where to get capital to
conduct Phase 2 clinical trials. The clinical regulatory organization
needs about $5-$6 million to conduct their program. If the data is
reproduced for the first 50 to 100 patients, the company could see conditional
market approval from the FDA very quickly.
