Dad
is not doing well. He told us that hewas going
to die tonight. It's 11:53pm nowand so far so
good, but I have decided tosleep in my clothes and
be ready to chargeout the door if the phone should
ring. I live5 minutes from my parents, so I
can getthere quickly. [[[ that is wonderful
that you live so close.I pray you did not have to
go in your clothes last night;but well understand
why you would be ready.]]] As I wrote to Linda,
on top of Dad dying,Mom is at the point of snapping.
Itsbeen a devasting 3 months and after dadis
gone, its going to be very difficult for Mom.They
have the typical 50's marriage - Mom'sthe homemaker
and Dad took care of everythingelse. Since I
have a 70's marriage, I know aboutfinances, so I will
be able to help her. The onlything I cannot
do, is to devote myself entirely toher as my father
did. I'm sure I'll work somethingout without
ignoring my husband . [[[ this make thingsa
bit harder; but it is good you know how to do it allfor
your mother. Wish you could figure a way togive
your mother the anti-depressant drug; as thedepression
will only get worse if your dad dies]]] I know
I said that I would send a picture of me andmy dad,
but there is no time to look through thestacks of
photo albums. If you want to havea general idea
of what we look like, Dad has alwaysbeen told that
he looks like Lloyd Bridges and I looklike the Wendy's
Wendy; red hair and freckles, andan additional 40+
years.[[[ Wendy, I am not thinking0f picutres right
now and neither should you.]]] Enough about me;
how are you doing? Anyprogress with your grandson's
school?[[[ The school is still playing cames, theywould
not put it in the IEP what they promisedthey would
do; but wanted Donna to sign theIEP, she refused and
called up state to the FederalChild Protection and
Advocay Orgainitzation. Theyon her door step
the next day. Said they have anothermother with
the exact same complaints. Also said thatDonna
had documented everything very well and they willsue
the school district on behalf of Kevin. They do not collectfees
untill after settlement. It is unfortunate that the school didnot
go just a little bit in doing what is right for this child, had they,it
would have never come to this. Please
know that I will not give up my prayer vigil for you, yourfamily
