Re: [MOL] Lung Cancer

Dear murry,

My father went though some problems also. The doc took him off his anti
depresant cold turkey he went in to withdrawls and was a wake in hell for 4
days post sugery. He ended up with celluitus a staf or streap infection
around the insision. I say a doc change his bangage one day post op with
out gloves or using sterial technique. He later developed an infection
internaly. he went in to resptory arrest 2x. 'They gave him medication that
guffed up his mind. he had a hx of problems with Codine they gave him
hydrocodone. he was addicted to valume once they gave him other
benzodiaipines whin also goofed him up.
MY father died after being returned to the hospital from being discharged
for 10 hours. He decides to be No cpr and went in to respitory arest 3 days
later.
We are going to be seeking legal help.
We feel The doctors should have tested him for sleep apniea, not given him
those drugs when we told them not to prior to the sugery and I feel that he
should have been on iv anti biotoic longer. They gave him narcotic pain
killers when he snould have had Tordal a nonnarcotic. Dad (70) was a
recovering alcoholic and drug adict his liver could not deal with all those
drugs.
All I can say in whatch what they are doing ask questions get written
permission to be in the icu at all times for you and anouther family member.
Know what medication they are giving you parent. KNow how they work Know the
side effects. You are thier voice also. Do not be afarid to be a bitch. this
is life you have rights. Doctors and nurses are not gods.
 sorry about the negivie
TAKE Care of your self
LORI
