Dear Donna: It doesn't sound particularly aggressive to me. I am a lung cancer survivor (sclc), and went through six months of chemo, every 21 days, followed by 35 hits of radiation. It sounds pretty standard to me. The treatments must be spaced apart, because the chemo is very hard on the body. Any closer together may be too much for your father. Hi, my name is Donna and my father was just diagnosed with lung
cancer(non small cell stage IIIB) His doctor told him that he would
have chemo Once every 3 weeks and then after the second time they wold
reaccess him and see if it is in remission. I feel that this sounds
strange. Is this not aggessive. What types of therapies have you
heard of. Is this usual for them to do the sessions so far apart? Any
comments are very much appreciated.
We are going to a different Doctor on Monday for their recommendation.
