Dear Frank,
Unfortunately you are taking these verses and quotes out of context.
Job was blessed by God because he would not forsake God.
MOses was blessed by God because he was the intermediary between he and
his people
Elijah was blessed by God as he was the prophet that bestowed the
message of good will to his people.
In other words, when they said that to God it was because they were
humbling themselves not asking to give up their life. All three were the
miracles of what God bestowed on them to carry out the will and
testament that courage, dedication and being humble meant that life was
long lasting and worthwhile as long as they, and we, see the blessings
of the Lord. That was the Old Testament teachings. So, pls take these
verses as positives and not asking for death, but for life in its most
humblest of meanings. I hope that you will see this that way as well.
God Bless,
marty auslander
