Re: [MOL] Re: Cori

Dear Lil ---Marty got a real chuckle out of me today - the first in a few days,
with his Sports Geniuses email...Yes, it is sad that Wendy broke up the week
before my surgery. I am probably closer to Stuart than Stephen or Scott - and I
know he is super upset about the cancer - 2 of my friends died of cancer when
the children were younger and Stuart was 11 at the time so remembers it
best....with the surgery coming up he could have used some support from his
soul-mate and best friend in the world as he called her. I love her dearly too,
but as a mother I hurt more for him. I'm undergoing surgery at St Joseph's
Hospital in Atlanta - tentatively set for May 27....He arrives back on May 24,
and offered to perform it on the 25 but it is Stephen's 18th birthday and should
anything ever happen I'd hate for it to be on Stephen's birthday...We scheduled
it for the 27 - and that day is my Mom's 75th. birthday ...The same thought went
thru my mind, but it meant pushing it out to the next week, which would mean I'd
be in the hospital for Stephen's High School graduation....this way, I'll
probably be in a wheelchair, but at least out of the hospital. Hopefully Mom'
birthday will bring me good luck and the heavens and angels will smile down on
me that day - she certainly is one!! Must go get dinner for kiddos. Keep in
touch. Love you much. Cori.
