Hi Deb: I hope that you won't mind me chiming in. Your postings are
timely for me as I just finished my 10th radiation treatment today with
24 left to go including 4 boosts. You sound as if you have had a hard
time. My experience so far has been very different from yours. The
technicians that perform the treatments have been wonderful and willing
to answer any questions that they can. They spot check my skin daily,
weigh me, send me to the lab for blood work once a week. I see the
doctor weekly and yes she has checked my skin every time. So far all I
have had to use was corn starch to keep the area dry (in Houston, Texas
that can be a challenge). If my skin becomes to inflamed the doctor said
that they will give me something called NEWSKIN..It's used on burn
victims. I am just starting the treatments and I am sure they won't all
be as easy as the first 10, but I am hoping for the best.
I think you need some help from your doctor. Have they given you
anything for your skin? It will be over for you soon..just hang in
there.
God Bless
Suzanne
