Re: [MOL] Suzanne New

Hi Gwen: Good going on your node negative. Your situation sounds very
much like mine only mine was both infiltrating ductal and lobular
carcinoma, node negative. I thought long and hard before I decided to go
ahead with the chemo, but in the end it seemed like the right decision
for me. I wanted to be sure as I could be to get any cells that may have
traveled through the blood stream. That is a real possibility with any
tumor over 1 cen. I had my 9th radiation treatment today and so far so
good. The Onc. tells me that I will probably start to feel and see the
side effects soon. Next to chemo this has been easy so far.
I picked up a couple of books yesterday that may be helpful to you. One
is called Choices by Marion Morra & Eve Potts(the 3rd edition) I had the
2nd edition from 11 years ago and I found myself going back to this book
time and time again for information. The other is How to Live Between
Office Visits by Bernie Siegel. I read his other books and they were
excellent. I was looking for something to help me not only during
treatment but after. Lets face it once you have cancer you do live for
check up to check up and your life can be turned upside down at anytime.
That's what happened to me last October.
I am on disability from my job. Fortunately, I work for an excellent
company that has been very supportive. I plan on going back to work July
1, if all goes well.
You and your sister are in my prayers. Take Care and God Bless. God will
guild you to make the right decision.
