My dear family, friends and
those I have yet to meet,
This is old John returning
to the fold. Seems that my Auntie Lil knows what's good for me better than
I do. By way of into to all those who have come on since December, I was
dx with squamous cell carcinoma in February '97, had radical surgery (I shall
spare all the grusome details) followed by 37 treatments of radiation to the
face...yes, that glow is certainly not my persona! I joined mol-cancer in
September/October of '97 and feel in love. It had been my life-line to
living until the pressure of work required my full attention. At this
juncture, my life has returned to the pressure cooker it was prior to cancer and
I figure it is time to reconnect the old lifeline and get with the wellness
program once again.
So, guess you all, my
family, are to be stuck with me again and those who don't know me yet will in
short order...I am prepared to run for cover but (no Lil, not butt!) have a
thick skin! Mam, Marianne, Lil, Marty, Martha, Mary Ann, Nanc, Kathy, PJ,
Sylvia, Joicy, Gail, Jo, Christine, Mary, Diana, June, Carla I have missed you
all so very much and I think I'm glad to be home again...depending on if Auntie
Lil can behave herself! LOL ;+)
Well, I can look forward to
tomorrow morning when my mailbox should be filled with love, caring, support and
all the real things that this life has to offer. Till then, God Bless and
keep the faith strong, the humor on high, and the outlook upward!
