[MOL] More ABout Endostatin

'Long Learning Curve' Needed For Endostatin Success

PHILADELPHIA, Apr 13 (Reuters Health) - Dr. Judah Folkman of
Harvard Medical School said at the 90th meeting of the American
Association of Cancer Researchers here that he was not surprised
by the difficulty that National Institutes of Health researchers
have encountered in trying to reproduce his work with endostatin.
Dr. Folkman's team had reported that it could shrink lesions
with the antiangiogensis agent. NIH researchers reported for
several months that they were unable to replicate his findings.
But NIH recently announced success in replicating Dr. Folkman's
data that signaled a "...go ahead with phase III trials this
fall."

God Bless
