DEar Nisi,
I am not anywhere as informed as you are or no more than informed, but I
share with Patricks quench for the foods he enjoys.....however, the fact
is the Doc is correct. Fluids at this time or foods that are bland are
essential as not to cause an effect of progressive swelling or colitis
or a new form of intestinal condition.
My suggestion is this. If your hospital has a nutritionist that is
informed about the condition or the treatment that Patrick has been
administered with, then take all the medical records to that
nutritionist or natural path and have them suggest foods and fluids that
essential not only for helping in the healing process but to provide
nutrition for him. There are many foods that Patrick can eat that is
appetizing, my suggestion is to seek out professional help in this area.
I am not trying to get out of your question, but not knowing what
Patrick is feeling like or what is going on in his body, I would be
remiss if I suggested something's that would exacerbate or be
counterproductive to what the Doc advised. Pls. keep me posted, I am
eager to help and find out what measure you are taking to help Patrick.
I am here for you in any case.
God Bless
